    What IRCC Requires

IRCC requires either a notarised translation, or a certified translation accompanied by a supporting affidavit sworn by the translator. For simplicity and to avoid delays, we always recommend notarised translation — it satisfies IRCC's requirement in a single step.

    IRCC Translation FAQs

IRCC does not accept a plain certified translation on its own. It requires either a notarised translation, or a certified translation accompanied by a supporting affidavit sworn by the translator. For simplicity, we always recommend notarised translation — it satisfies the requirement without the extra affidavit step.
A sworn statement confirming the translator’s competence, used when the translator is not a member of a recognised professional translators’ association. We advise whether your translator’s certification needs this addition.
Birth certificates, marriage certificates, police clearance certificates, and academic transcripts are the most common documents submitted with IRCC applications.
Standard certified translation is delivered within 24–48 hours. Urgent turnaround is available for many document types — confirmed at quote stage.
Yes. A Malaysia-based translator’s certification is accepted, provided it meets IRCC’s requirement — notarised, or certified with a supporting affidavit. We handle either route from Malaysia.
Quebec-destined applications may have additional provincial requirements. Tell us your destination province and we will confirm the correct route.
If a quality issue on our part causes a rejection, we revise it free of charge or refund you.
