What is MIDA?

MIDA (Malaysian Investment Development Authority) is the Malaysian government’s principal agency under MITI for promoting and coordinating investment in the manufacturing and services sectors.

Applications to MIDA — including manufacturing licences, tax incentives, and expansion approvals — are submitted through the InvestMalaysia portal. Any supporting document not already in English or Bahasa Malaysia must be accompanied by a certified translation before submission.

Important: A certified translation is not the same as a plain translation. MIDA and SSM (Companies Commission of Malaysia) require translations to carry a signed accuracy statement, and in many cases a Certified True Copy (CTC) endorsed by an embassy, notary public, or company secretary.

A certified translation for MIDA is a complete English translation of your corporate or investment document, accompanied by a signed statement from the translator confirming accuracy and completeness. For some submissions, a Certified True Copy (CTC) endorsed by an embassy, notary public, or company secretary is also required.

Not always. Standard MIDA submissions typically accept a certified translation with a signed accuracy statement. Notarisation or CTC endorsement is usually required specifically when the underlying document itself needs authentication — for example, a foreign Certificate of Incorporation.

Most standard corporate documents (1–5 pages) are translated and delivered within 24 to 48 hours. Same-day urgent delivery is available for an additional fee.

Certified translation starts from RM120 per page. Most incorporation certificates and financial statements are 1–5 pages. We confirm an exact quote before you commit — no hidden fees.

Yes. MIDA and InvestMalaysia accept documents in either English or Bahasa Malaysia. We translate from any source language into whichever of the two you need.

We translate from over 30 languages into certified English or Bahasa Malaysia, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and all major European and Southeast Asian languages.

It depends on the document. Foreign incorporation certificates and constitution documents typically require a CTC from an embassy, notary public, or company secretary. We advise on the exact requirement for your specific submission and can coordinate the CTC process.

Yes. We regularly translate audited financial statements, management accounts, and supporting schedules for MIDA and InvestMalaysia submissions, preserving all figures, formatting, and footnotes exactly as they appear in the original.

No. MIDA and MITI-linked applications require certified translation by a professional human translator with a signed accuracy statement. Machine-translated documents including Google Translate or DeepL output are not accepted.

Yes. We translate manufacturing licence application forms and any accompanying declarations required for submission through InvestMalaysia, ensuring full accuracy of technical and regulatory terminology.

MIDA oversees investment and manufacturing licence approvals, while SSM (Companies Commission of Malaysia) handles company registration. Some documents — like a foreign Certificate of Incorporation — may need to satisfy both, so we ensure translations meet the stricter of the two standards.

Yes. Same-day urgent delivery is available for most standard corporate documents. Let us know your deadline when requesting a quote and we’ll confirm if urgent turnaround is possible.

If your certified translation is rejected for any reason related to the quality or format of our work, we will correct and resubmit at no additional charge.
